Rainham Policing Update

Today officers will been carrying out a general high-visibility foot patrol across the Rainham area. We have also been assisting Transport for London (TfL) with patrols on local buses and bus routes following recent reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB).

These patrols provide reassurance to passengers, help identify issues affecting the community, and enable officers to engage with residents and bus users directly.

Crime Prevention Advice – Residential Burglaries

Please help protect your home by following these simple steps:

Always lock doors and windows, even when at home.

Keep keys away from letterboxes and out of sight.

Use timer switches for lights when away from your property.

Ensure side gates and sheds are secured with good-quality locks.

Consider installing a doorbell camera, CCTV, or security lighting.

Avoid advertising holidays or expensive purchases on social media.

Report any suspicious activity or unknown persons acting unusually in residential areas.

If you witness a crime in progress, call 999. For non-emergency concerns or to report suspicious behaviour, contact police via 101 or online.
